We had the opportunity to meet with the members of the priority program Nitrides4Future (SPP 2477) at Fraunhofer IISB in Erlangen on September 8. The event served as first in-person meeting of the principal investigators and their scientific staff and allowed the project members to get in touch with each other.
During the short project presentations we gained insights into recent scientific achievements and ongoing research activities in the field of emerging nitride semiconductors. The projects of the priority program cover a broad range of emerging nitride semiconductor materials, such as AlScN and other cation-substituted AlN, and device applications, among others memory, power and optoelectronic devices.
A poster session enabled a more detailed presentation of the results/work in progress and stimulated further scientific discussions. Over and above, the scientific exchange was very fruitful and resulted in first additional ideas for collaboration between the research groups of the priority program.
We are looking forward to advancing research on emerging nitride semiconductors in Germany together! Thank you for your ongoing efforts and contributions.
